F1 GP India First GP in India

India for the first time hold a Formula 1 car racing. The organisers are hoping the race would get an excellent response from the community.

GP India will be held on 30 October in the international circuit Buddh, located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, outside the capital of New Delhi.

Initially there were concerns the race doesn't really attract the attention of the local community. However, the first day of ticket sales Saturday (20/8) and then sold out in just over three hours, with the value of 12.5 million rupees (US $ 273.768).

"To be honest, we don't think the community's response will be like this. Anyway, this is the first race in India, and there must have been anticipated when the tickets went on sale, "said Ashish Hemrajani, Chief race ticketing partner Bookmyshow.com, quoted Reuters, Monday (22/8).

"So far we have sold over 50 million rupees. We already know, responsnya is definitely nice, and we are very pleased.

"Outside of cricket and the movies, you don't get a response like this. I think, the majority of tickets have been sold were ordered by the people who live in Delhi and surrounding areas. "

It also is preparing a special packages for foreigners so that they come in droves to India, including the first races to watch in the land of "Bollywood".
