Lucas Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery

Lucas Leiva successfully underwent surgery on his troublesome knee. Next, a midfielder for Liverpool from Brazil is going to undergo a rehabilitation program to restore his physical condition.

Lucas damaged ligaments in his left knee anterior in FA Cup match against Chelsea, last week. As a result of severe injuries, the 24 year old player that will be absent until the end of this season.

As a follow up to the injury, Lucas flew to Brazil to undergo surgery. After a successful operation took place, he hoped it could leave the hospital on Friday local time.

"The Club's Medical Staff in attendance during the surgical procedure," statement on Liverpool's official website.

"Now, Lucas will start a rehabilitation program has been approved and will be monitored by a team of medical team."

Marc Pelosi Joins Liverpool

Liverpool continued to search for players to strengthen the squad. The Reds got the young star and captain of the United States U-17 national team, Marc Pelosi.

Pelosi is a United States national team captain while performing at the U-17 World Cup held in Mexico in June and July. Young people from Germany's total scored eight goals in 28 matches with the U.S. U-17 team.

Pelosi, who plays as a midfielder, formerly previously recorded Club DeAnza Force in California. Contracts offered on Pelosi will make him enter the Academy of The Reds.

"We are desirous of looking for talents from around the world, and we are satisfied can bring Marc to the Club," says the Director of the Liverpool Academy, Frank McParland as preached Yahoosports.

Liverpool will be able to get a lot of young talents from the United States related to their Fenway Sports owner status Group's home country. Fenway Sports Group is also the owner of the Boston Red Sox baseball club.
