For the 15th time Chris John successfully defended his WBA featherweight champion (57.1 kg). 'The Dragon', is still predicated super champion, won the absolute numbers of the challenger, Stanyslav Merdov.

At Challenge Stadium, Perth, Australia, Chris John had to undergo 12 rounds of counter Merdov that appear persistent, despite falling in the early rounds.

In the end Chris John declared winning numbers from Merdov, the Ukraine, by the three judges with the 116-111, 116-111 and 115-112.

With that result, Chris John polishing match record with 46 wins (22 KOs) and two draws, from a total of 48 duels. To Merdov, this is the eighth defeat of the total 40 games he already did.
