Mike Brown, New Coach of LA Lakers

LA Lakers are getting a new coach to replace Phil Jackson who retired last season. He is the former coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and will handle the Lakers starting next season.

After the defeat of 1-4 of the Dallas Mavericks in the Western semi-final, Jackson ended a six-year era of both as a coach the Lakers.

Lakers management represented Executive Vice President Jim Buss chose Brown as new coach with a four-year contract, which allegedly amounted to more than 18 million u.s. dollar, as reported by the official site of the NBA.

Brown coached the Cavs for five seasons before he retired last year. With the Cavs, Brown made a good record with 67 percent victory percentage per season.

In the 2009 season he carried the Cavs won best 66-16 record and make it selected as the best coach.
