The contract Andrea Dovizioso with Repsol Honda's will end up on this season. Next year, Dovizioso will be racing for Team Yamaha Tech 3.
Dovizioso left Repsol Honda because of this policy that will use two drivers only in 2012. Two-seat racing that's for sure so belonged to Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa.
Initially, Honda had persuaded Dovizioso to join the satellite team LCR. But, Dovizioso refused and prefer to cross to Yamaha.
"I
am pleased to have reached an agreement with Tech 3 for next year and I
would like to thank [team boss] Herve Poncharal for the opportunity
given to me," says Dovizioso cited Autosport.
At Tech 3, Dovizioso will be partnered with Cal Crutchlow. He succeeded the position of Colin Edwards who migrated to the Moto2.
"I
am very excited to be part of the Herve squad and team up with Cla. I
am sure this new challenge right interesting, motivating, and fun. Now, I would like to finish off the season well, "he added.
