South Africa & Sierra Leone Elimated from Africa Cup Nations 2012

South Africa & Sierra Leone
2012 African Cup of Nations will not be followed by South Africa and Nigeria. Both had to wait for the next African Cup of Nations for failing to pass through the qualifying tournament.

In the qualifying Group G match at Mbombela Stadium, Saturday (8/10/2011), South Africa failed to get full points for Sierra Leone. Bafana Bafana's only got one point.

This result makes South Africa finished in second place standings with nine points from six matches. Even though it had the same points with Niger's on top, they lost head-to-head.

In Group B, Nigeria also failed to win. Super Eagles certainly failed to qualify after offset Guinea 2-2.

Thus, the right to qualify from Group B is the number of Guinea with the standings 14 points from six of the party. Nigeria is in second place with 11 points.

Countries that already make themselves away from the qualifying round is Angola, Ghana, Guinea, Libya, Mali, Niger, Tunisia, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Botswana, and Zambia. They will compete in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, early next year.
