Dallas Mavericks and Dirk Nowitzki was awarded the prestigious following the successful winning the NBA. Both were granted the status of the Club and the best male athlete ESPY Award in 2006.
NBA Mavericks won for the first time after successfully finished off the Miami Heat with a 4-2. The Mavericks triumphed over many victory prediction considering Heat strengthened many big names such as LeBron James and Dwayne Wade.
On the basis that ESPY Award awarded Rick Carlisle's squad as the best team. While being a Dirk Nowitzki, rewarded his prestisus as the best male athletes.
Quoted from Reuters, ceremony, receiving the award for Mavericks and Nowitzki described walking stiffly because of the NBA lockout is still in the condition.
"If the team Dallas Mavericks this proves something, then they (the players) who win it and they could win and will continue to win," says the owner of the Mavericks Mark Cuban then received the award on stage.
ESPY Award is a yearly Award organized by the cable television network ESPN.
