Frank Vogel is no longer the coach while the Indiana Pacers. Pacers have officially made Vogel as permanent coach.
Announcement of the appointment is Vogel was released on the official site of the NBA, Wednesday (6/7/2011) local time. Contract details are kept secret, but media Vogel called Vogel was contracted for three years.
Vogel is the coach while the Pacers since last January after they fired Jim O'Brien. Under coach 38 years, the Pacers had a record win lose 20-18.
The Pacers went on to qualify for the play-off the NBA for the first time since 2006. Despite losing 1-4 of the Chicago Bulls in the first half, but the Pacers is graded satisfactory performance.
"We are pleased to appoint Frank as our coach," commented President of Basketball operations for the Pacers, Larry Bird.
At the age of 38 years, Vogel was the youngest coach in the NBA today. Vogel started working on the Pacers when O'Brien was appointed coached Pacers in 2007. Before that, he also worked as a talent and coordinator of the video.
"I am very grateful to Herb Simon (owner of Pacers), Larry Bird and David Morway (GM Pacers) for giving me this opportunity," greet Vogel about his appointment.
